Hi!
This is Lego. I am on a mission of finding the perfect valentine this year.
Please watch my clip to see the way I am, and hopefully I will find my valentine soon!
Happy Valentine’s Day!

The hardest trick in the clip was “Wrap in blanket”. Lego doesn’t like holding anything in his mouth, he just spits it out. It required lots of training to teach him to stay with the blanket in this mouth. The next step was for him to roll over with the blanket in his mouth…which again took lots and lots of training.
Believe it or not, the balance and walk up a wall trick wasn’t that hard to teach Lego! I showed him what is expected, marked his behavior with praise and rewards, and he got the trick in no time. Plus he loves performing it! He just has to be positioned well in front of the wall, otherwise he might be too far out to reach the wall with his legs.
For jumps, Lego prefers bar jumps to broad. He tends to walk over broad jumps, or hit the broad jump with his legs while he descends.
And lastly, Lego just loves his tiny tennis ball! He will chase it in pure joy as it bounces away and will find it where ever it’s hidden

In regards to Lego walking hind legs up wall…
Did you put his back legs up on the wall physically and click/treat to start out? I don’t understand how he got the idea to walk them up the wall?

Lego previously knew the “foot” trick, which helped with the walking up the wall trick.
The “foot” trick is where he would lift each foot on command. His Skateboarding Trial video has a demonstration of it.
For walking up the wall, I placed him in front of the gate, and asked him to lift his foot. I helped him balance with his foot gripped onto the gate. The gate’s net pattern helps him get a good grip with his foot. I then asked him to lift his second foot, and I helped place his foot on the gate.
We started at very low heights. For each attempt he got a reward and lots of praise. Gradually, he was able to do it himself and raise his feet higher up the gate

Hi! I just love Lego’s videos! I am a rescue and foster home for the French Bulldog Rescue Network (www.frenchbulldogrescue.org) and have a Frenchie of my own. I attend the French Bulldog National Specialty Shows every year. This year they are in October in Lawrence KS. Have you ever been to the Nationals? I am not sure where you and Lego are located. Would you ever consider putting on a demonstration at a show with Lego?

Lego, is, by far, the smartest Frenchie I’ve ever seen. My Frenchie is now 2 and I just started some clicker training. He’s my first, so I wasn’t sure if the breed could learn tricks. Obviously, Lego is a great example of great training and a willing participant. Love to show my friends that Frenchies can be trained. Bravo Lego!
